Jims Music Notes

I want to thank you all for your care and your expressions of concern during my dad’s brief illness and his passing.  It was so comforting to know that our pastor, our church staff and church family were praying for us and supporting us through this difficult time.  Our precious pastor and sweet Vidonia came and comforted us and prayed for us as we sat in the ICU waiting room at River Oaks Hospital.  What a blessing and encouragement they were to us! Thanks so much to those of you who made the long trip to the funeral.  It meant a lot to me to see your loving faces as I delivered daddy’s eulogy.  My mama and brothers and sisters were so touched by the number of prayer cards we received and the memorials that were given to First Baptist Church on behalf of dad.  Thanks so much for your many acts of kindness shown toward us.  You all continue to bless us with your love and your precious friendship!  We appreciate you so much. I am reminded that we need to depend on the promises of God’s Word as we go through this trying time in our world.  Phillipians 4:6-7 says “Don’t worry about anything;  instead, pray about everything.  Tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank Him for His answers.  If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far greater than the human mind can ever understand.  His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.”   LOVE YOU ALL!
